With the first snow of the year today in Kansas City, netizens are scampering for weather reports. Are the roads slick, which roads are closed, and the big question, is school out?

    I took a few shots and they're urban so not your usual ice storm fare, less snow etc. The day ones are pretty good but I need to learn city life/night photography. That and getting ice water on the lens doesn't help LOL

    I agree with Candles...The Weather Channel is great for the "larger picture" and live reports, but our local channels' weather reports are usually much more accurate. Netizen and weather junkie here;)

    I like KMBC too and checking out these other KC weather sites. Kansas city weather is crazy sometimes, especially the March ice storms.

    LOL Kay - normally I would approximate but when it comes to weather people like numbers. I'll probably learn from someone that it is 11.32 inches :-P I know some avid weather junkies. :-)
