Kanye West Disrespects Taylor Swift at the MTV VMA's

Taylor Swift worked hard to sing her way into the MTV Video Music Awards only to have her excitement plowed down by the egotistical Kanye West. As Taylor anxiously approached the stage after winning the award for Best Female Video over Beyonce, Kanye took it upon himself to walk up onto the stage, snatch the microphone from Taylor, and spill out utter rudeness. It seemed as though at first Taylor was flattered to see Kanye appear on the stage with her; most likely assuming that he was about to congratulate her for the achievement or say some words of encouragement. Instead he announced to the audience that Beyonce's video was the best of the year - it was a direct slap to Taylors face and not what many fans expected to hear. Taylor, stunned by what had happened, gracefully exited the stage. Later into the show, the mention of Kanye's name was boo'd across the crowd. What he had done was foul and extremely poor etiquette at such an event and towards such a young singer who had strived to make it as far as she had.

Later into the night Beyonce tried to reconcile the situation by calling Taylor up with her as she accepted an award. Taylor was a very good sport about the whole situation and gladly accepted the invitation to once more meet the crowd.

Kanye attempted to turn things around on his official blog, stating that he was very sorry for what he had done. He continued on by stating he's "in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment". Sources note that Kanye had been drinking alcohol while attending the event and regret the actions he performed at the Video Music Awards. He claims that he does feel very bad for what he had done and also apologized to his fans if any of his actions had disappointed them. Ironically when Monday morning arrived, his sincere apology had mysteriously disappeared from his blog leaving many fans and viewers in confusion.

Taylor has stated that she has no bitter feelings towards the rap artist, and does not intend to start any drama over the situation. She was once a fan of Kanye up until the incident where he thouroughly disrespected and insulted her. This is one moment in Taylor's career that she is going to remember for a very long time. It's going to take some time before the media and public earn any respect for the rap artist.

Kanye is always obnoxious when he gets drunk. I think we will all learn to live with it. He is a very talented artists. Most very talented people have some weird quirk. He is a famous talented purpose, so we all get to share in his little quirk.
