Kanye West Versus 50 Cent

"If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no longer write music," the entrepreneurial artist (real name Curtis Jackson) told hip-hop website SOHH.com. "I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out any more solo albums."

Recently, I was on the computer and my brother was watching T.V. I was halfway listening when all of a sudden I hear "50 Cent, said he will end his rapping career if Kanye out sells him." I immediately looked at the TV screen and laughed. In my opinion 50 cent is a moron for saying that. I looked a little bit into the issue before I started my rant and you would not believe the things I found. 50 claims that Kanye is famous partly because of him. He says that when he listens to his music, he still does not know who he is, all he knows is that he got in a car accident. Well Mr. Cent all we know about you is you got shot nine times, and you probably used to deal drugs. What is the difference. I read some 50 cents statements about the feud and I was disgusted at 50 cents stupidity. This guy is only doing this for the publicity it will bring to his CD

Here are a couple of his comments:"He puts together witty phrases and he's a great talent as a producer, but I still don't know who Kanye West is when I listen to him," 50 said recently in Miami. "By listening to the record, I don't know who he is - I know he's been in a car accident, that's what I know."

This comment slay ed me: "After 50 Cent, [hip-hop fans] was looking for something non-confrontational, and they went after first thing that came along. That was Kanye West." - 50 Cent.

How can he single out Kanye west for being less confrontational and making money. Just because Kanye does not need 2 beefs a year, and does not spend his time working on dis songs, do not knock his career. He worked hard (and got in car accident) to get where he is. 50 Cent's comment has to be the dumbest thing said in 2007. I honestly do not even believe the two men can be compared. All 50 cent is, is a guy that got lucky rapping about himself getting shot nine times. I hear the guy does not even write all his own songs (which i believe) and he can't release a CD without at least 15 collaborators. He has even stooped so low as to have Justin Timberlake in one of his songs. I do not have a problem with J Lake but like oil and water the two just don't mix. 50 cent searches for producers for his hit beats. Kanye makes his own. Kanye in my opinion is more a producer, he raps because he can, and as a way to get his beats out there. He is an artist, that actually raps his own songs and produces his own beats. I'm pulling for Kanye in this one. I will personally go out and buy Kanyes CD, hoping that my 50 purchases of his CD will bring 50 cent closer to getting nine bullet holes in his career, and I personally hope he has to put his career where his mouth is. The guy is a fool, he does not need to rap anyway, he owns G-unit ( and makes them all guest star on his CD'S)
