Karaoke Bars in Maryland

Wilma Jammer
If you like to hear yourself sing, hear others sing (unprofessionally), or have others hear you sing, then Karaoke is for you. Obviously, there are those who are not interested in singing in front of others, however, a lot of places that have Karaoke machines, also have other amenities for those particular guests.

It can be hard to find a place to sing Karaoke depending on where you live or the day of the week, but Maryland has quite a few places you may enjoy.

Party Time Karaoke in Baltimore, Maryland is a great place to sing your head off. Go on Friday or Saturday night, from 9pm-1am and sing your pants off at this venue on Ft. Smallwood Road. Also in Baltimore, find the Rowan Tree, that touts itself as sophisticated bar and open to all. Find Karaoke there on Saturday nights.

Closer to the District of Columbia, is the Potomac Grill Restaurant in Rockville, Maryland, that not only has good food, but Karaoke on Thursday nights at 8pm. Also in that general area, is Sergio's of Wheaton, MD that has Karaoke most Sunday's. Also enjoy their friendly attitude and good, Salvadorian food.

Yogi's Place in Pasadena, Maryland, has your typical pizza, ribs and wings, and on Wednesdays has a Karaoke contest, and Saturdays has oldies Karaoke.

Last but no least, located in the Capitol of Maryland, Annapolis, is the Castlebay Irish Pub on 193A Main Street. At 9pm on Sunday nights, let loose and take advantage of their Karaoke machine. Enjoy some of their beer that they brew themselves, or stick with an Irish standby -- Guiness -- as well as some bangers and mash.

Karaoke is a great way to have fun, release some inhibitions and celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Some of us may think there is no way we'd get up on stage and sing, even with the words and music given to us, but go to one of these places with some of your friends and see what happens. You never know!

excellent karaoke coverage. A few martinis and the worst of us can sing in public!

Hey, I just might take you boys up on that offer: in the shower. Hopefully the shower water rains vodka.

And then there's always the shower. Don't have to be as drunk to sing there.
