The location of this academy is in the center of the city of Plano and hence, can be reached very conveniently from all the directions. The schedule of the classes is also very flexible. It starts at 10 am in the morning and ends at 9 pm in the evening. One can select his batch timing based upon his level of belt and the convenience. The classes are for everybody, starting from the row beginners to the high degree belt holders. The prerequisites for each type of belts are clearly spelled out on the brochures and the DVD, available easily at the premises. The premises have a large area of around 6000 square feet on the first floor. The reception area is also very big, having many types of books and literature on Karate on sale. The training equipments are also available in wide varieties and stored very nicely in the academy. This academy is in operation since the year 1994 and the group photos of all the batches starting from 1994 till 2007 have been displayed, indicating the growth of the academy year by year. There are in all ten instructors available at the academy to teach. All these instructors are having at least black belt accreditation in all the styles taught except for the Aerobic Kickboxing where no ranks are available.
There are no contracts required to be executed by the kid during the entire learning cycle and there is no registration fee. The monthly fee for Tae Kwon Do is $90, $70 for Jujutsu, $70 for Combat Hopkido, $40 for Kobudo, and $70 for the Aerobic Kickboxing. One can attend multiple classes on all weekdays except on Sundays by paying the fees as mentioned. This fee standard is really competitive as compared to other such establishments. The family discounts are also available in case there is more than one kid from one family. The testing fees are to be paid extra as and when the test is conducted for the next higher belt. All the students can attend all open classes, ranging from white through black belt categories. The special classes are also held for purple to black belt holders. There are some special classes for adults and the senior citizens also. Each class is held for one hour with a break of five minutes in between. I have been closely observing the classes since last one month while accompanying my grandson and I can admit that the quality of teaching, the discipline level, and the facilities available here are more than adequate. The atmosphere of the academy is also very serious and that is why the teachings travel effectively in the minds of the students. We have decided to continue our grandson at this academy till perhaps he reaches the black belt category.
If any of my AC readers are in the look out for the suitable Karate coaching classes, I have no hesitation in recommending Plano Martial Arts Academy in Dallas area to them. This academy is really nice and mean strict business.
