Karate Kid's Support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with Kick-a-Thon
Kick-a-Thon to Raise Money for Cancer Research

Kevin Hollock, a karate instructor, has teamed up with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to run a special event. Hollock, who owns Hollock's Martial Arts Institute on Route 940 in Blakeslee, will be hosting the Kick-a-Thon. Students who are training in martial arts under Hollock's guidance have been encouraged to participate. Several students have already received sponsors and donations for the event. The Kick-a-Thon will take place on August 1st from 12pm- 3pm. Each student who is participating in the event seeks to complete 1000 kicks in a 2 hour time frame.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is an organization that seeks to find a cure for cancer. Participation in Special Events like the Kick-a-thon at Hollock's Martial Arts Institute support St. Jude's efforts in finding a cure, treating cancer patients and discovering new treatments for pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases.
All ages are welcome to attend the Kick-a-Thon on August 1st which will take place in front of the school in Blakeslee, PA. Hollock's Martial Arts Tournament Team will be at the event and will perform a special showcase to demonstrate the skills they have learned through training and competition. There will be special games and door prizes available to those who attend.
Gatorade and PowerBar have decided to sponsor the martial arts school for this special event and have provided food and drinks for the participants.
Anyone wishing to sponsor one of the martial arts students participating in the Kick-a-Thon can make a pledge as a flat donation, per kick or per hour spent kicking. Donations can be made at the Kick-a-Thon or prior to the event by visiting Hollock's Martial Arts Institute on Route 940 in Blakeslee, PA or by sponsoring one of the students participating in the event.
