Karen Owen has received unexpected attention for her list, and chances are a book is in the works or her own sex column, perhaps. Post a CommentFed Up, I am a sex-positive erotica writer who does not have a problem with porn as long as it involves consenting adults. However, posting sexual score cards on the Internet does not involve consenting adults, and therefore, I don't condone it. I thank you for sharing your thoughts. There's nothing wrong with a debate. Jolie du Pre, 45 million times? I feel your statistic is somewhat exaggerated. I am not talking about a lone video leaked that effects both individuals in it. I am talking about a documentary done by camera and "data" collected. To my knowledge this hasn't been done before. But this is a big world, and if you can prove me wrong by showing me facts I would be giddy to see. I could learn much from it and I would alter my project to make it unique. No I did not buy my Kendra Wilkinson tape. I feel porn has a negative effect on society, especially men. Men need to stop putting plastic sexual gratification of women on a pedestal and start respecting ourselves. Chasing women like a dog is coming to an end.
Fed Up - The only problem with your idea is it's not unique or new. What you plan to do has been done to women 45 million times in the past. (The big thing now is celebrity porn. Did you buy your Kendra Wilkinson tape yet?) But if you insist - take a lesson from Hustler and Vivid and don't stop before the money shots. The goal is not PG-13.
Jolie du Pre, as a guy who believes in sexual equality I agree with part of what your saying. However, not everything. Although this article gave me a great idea. As a college student in Tallahassee Florida, I have many great opportunities. I have come to the conclusion to make a video of all the girls that I will sleep with this semester. I wont show the actual act of course, but the pre-show will be included. I will list all specific info regarding the "victims" as well. Of course I am not as smart as Karen so don't expect it to sound great. At the end of the video I will dedicate it to you, and the rest of the women who subliminally preach your misandry. I am dead serious about this too. I am sure you will have the same attitude.
D, I agree that the report never should have gone viral, but if a guy commits suicide due to Karen's report, he's got issues that were there long before Karen's report.
Eh, I doubt the author of this blog would be so "go grrrl" if the guy who finished last in Owen's thesis committed suicide. It's not always about empowerment when people are hurt.
