Mr. G's Lounge located at 3214 60th offers Karaoke on Mondays. To help bolster your courage, all singers get a free shot- nothing like a little liquid courage to chase away the stage fright. They also offer Karaoke on Thursday nights, but you have to buy your own drinks. Both nights offer Long Island Iced Tea specials. The neighborhood is a little dicey, so you don't want to walk to you car alone at night, but the patrons are friendly and the drink prices are reasonable. The crowd is mixed, but tends to be slightly younger, while it is difficult to judge, the average ages tend to be between 25 and 35. Dress ranges from blue jeans and t-shirts to skimpy black dresses and everything in between.
For the younger crowd, try The Barn at 2114 52nd Street. Thursday nights are not only offer karaoke, but also college night. If you are a good singer and have to looks to match, this is the place for you, but if you are lacking in either department, the crowd can be as harsh as Simon Cowell on a good night.
A good mixed crowd and nice atmosphere can be found at Boat House Pub and Eatery on Wednesday nights. The Boat House is an interesting establishment, it looks like a waterfront warehouse, but offers not only a spectacular view of Lake Michigan but also excellent food. They are located at 4917 7th Ave.
Karaoke can be found almost any night of the week in Kenosha. You can also try the following: On Sundays you can go to Paddy O's Pub at 5022 7th Ave. Pasquali's Bar features karaoke on Wednesdays, they are located at 3216 60th St. You can go to Pier 57at 504 57th St.on Thursdays. There is occasionally karaoke offered at the Brat Stop off I-94 and Highway 50.
Once you have perfected your performance, you may want to try the Rush Street Lounge, they offer karaoke contests every Friday night. Finals are held on the last Friday of each month. The are located 7220 122nd Ave inside the Best Western Executive Inn. The crowd is mixed, generally well dressed and well behaved. The easy access from I94 attracts participants from all over.
If you have never given karaoke a try, gather a large group of friends, designate a driver and head to Kenosha. At the very lest, you will have blackmail fodder for moths to come, and you just may be pleasantly surprised by the hidden talent of some of your friends.

If needed call the bar for directions.
Another good place for karaoke is Rumors loumge where my friend Tom "Elvis" Hinz plays every other Saturday night - next time he plays is 11/10/07.
Also, my friend, Char, plays every Sat. night at Dianne's place on 22nd Avenue, on the North side of Kenosha. She's great.
Char also plays on Thurs. nights at BB's located on the east side of Green Bay Road (31), just north of Target/Kohls.
