Kasey Kahne Dominates NASCAR Race at Darlington
NASCAR Camping World Trucks Stop at Darlington Raceway
Kasey Kahne, filling in for truck owner and driver Kyle Busch, returned to victory lane leading 95 of the 147 laps at the South Carolina track to bring home his third win in only four Camping World Truck Series starts. Ron Hornaday finished second holding off Todd Bodine and a charging Matt Crafton.
The third tier series of NASCAR's top three continued to show it's popularity as over 20,000 fans showed up to catch the racing action at the one day only stand alone event. The impound style race had trucks qualify earlier in the day and race in the afternoon.
Cole Whitt who took the pole and led several times through out the race also took home the Rookie of the Race prize bringing his Red Bull truck home in eight place. Other notables in the top ten were James Buescher in fifth, Timothy Peters in sixth, Elliott Sadler in seventh, Johnny Sauter in ninth and David Starr in tenth.
Crafton left the track with the points lead over Whitt, Peters, Clay Rogers and Sauter.
