Kashi is Good Cereal, Kashi is Good Snack Food, Too

I like Kashi, and Hopefully, You Do, Too

Thinking Inside the Box

Kashi cereals, Kashi meal bars and Kashi crackers are all good foods, especially for those of us who like a little bit of processed food in the morning, or as part of a light meal. As a cheapskate by necessity, I am not always able to afford to purchase what I like for breakfast, however, what I like is Kashi cereal. Consumers will not find this brand going on sale, however, there are at times coupons attached to the boxes of the cereal or the crackers for lucky consumers to use towards a purchase of the product, for a fifty cent or one dollar discount on the box. Usually, we consumers need to detach the coupon and give it to the supermarket checker or key person at the automated line.

Kashi crackers are tasty, I picked up a few boxes of TLC crackers courtesy of the Kashi Company after calling up the company and offering a few tag lines for their advertising. This La Jolla, California-based company apparently cares about their loyal customers, and sent me a few coupons for free product as well as a few cents-off coupons. The food is nutritious, also, and is for sale at most upscale supermarkets.

Kashi cereals are good, the product line is a small one, though. Friends cereal and Kashi GoLeancrunch cereal are two house favorites. These cereals are lightly sweetened and made from mixed grains.

"Eating the right breakfast can help you stay satisfied and on track throughout the day. With 9 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber, Kashi GoLean! Crunch cereal has more than twice the protein and fiber of the average of other cereals." This is from the side of a box of Kashi GoLean! Crunch, an unprepossessing cereal with a lot of good ingredients for the average person inside the box.

Kashi, made from whole grains, is a good product for most people, the downside of this brand being that none of the products are either wheat-free nor gluten-free. The Kashi crackers are either very low sugar or no sugar products. I'm not certain of this fact as we ate all the crackers, the TLC crackers were good.

I have purchased Kashi meal bars for others, however, have yet to try these undoubtedly tasty products myself. I imagine that these are less sweet than most other brands of pre-packaged meal bars are.

Kashi, I love Kashi, actually, as a special treat and enjoy being able to purchase Kashi. It's a great alternative to cooking breakfast from scratch, this is a wholesome product made from the highest-quality ingredients are able to procure. The last bowl of the Kashi cereal box adds a little bit of crunch to granola mixes, and can also be used as an alternative to traditional party mixes made with cereals such as Chex or Cheerios.

A spoonful of Kashi is also tasty and adds crunch or texture as a topping for soups, salads, stuffings and desserts. The boxes sort of hide within the cereal aisle, somehow, at most of the supermarkets where this is carried, and the company does not do a lot of advertising.
