Kashi is a company that is known for its quality cereals, bars and other products. But should you try Kashi oatmeal raisin flax soft-baked cookies?
Price and Availability
I recently purchased a 240g (8.05 oz) packet of Kashi oatmeal raisin flax soft-baked cookies from my local Food Maxx for $2.48. There were 8 cookies in each packet, which works out to $0.31 per serving.
Chief Attractions
I was attracted to Kashi oatmeal raisin flax soft-baked cookies for a number of reasons. First, this product does not contain high fructose corn syrup, which is an ingredient I try to avoid if at all possible.
Next, I was pleased to see that this particular product contained less sugar than other varieties of Kashi cookies and the kind of ingredients I like to see in nutritious, filling snacks, such as oatmeal, raisins and flax seeds. There are 12g of whole grains in each serving, which was an added incentive to try this product.
Nutrition Facts
Each 30g serving size contains 130 calories, 40 of which are from fat, 4.5g total fat, 0g saturated fat, 0g trans fats, 0mg cholesterol, 70mg sodium, 20g carbohydrate, 4g dietary fibre, 7g sugar and 2g protein. If you are looking for a snack that is low in fat, cholesterol-free, low in sodium and high in fibre, you will be pleased with Kashi oatmeal raisin flax soft-baked cookies, as it ticks all the right boxes.
Allergy Warning
If you are allergic to wheat, walnuts, soy, egg, peanut and milk, you should avoid this product, as it contains these ingredients. It could also contain other tree nuts that are not listed.
Taste Test and Recommendation
I am pleased to report that Kashi oatmeal raisin flax soft-baked cookies were delicious. I felt as if I was being kind to myself in eating this product, than I would if I had chosen a chocolate bar. They are moist and full of tasty, chewy goodness, with a hint of sweetness that you and your family will enjoy. Kashi oatmeal raisin flax soft-baked cookies were fairly well priced, low in fat, high in whole grains and fibre and tasty, to boot. I would therefore recommend this product.
