Kashi TLC Chewy Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Cookie - Review
This Cookie Tastes Good, Satisfies, and is Good for You
I didn't even know Kashi MADE cookies, so when I saw the ad on a website encouraging me to steal a cookie, or, to get a free cookie by mail by placing an order on their website, I had to check it out! (http://www.kashi.com/stealacookie/getmycookie).
First off, I must say that it arrived very quickly and packaged securely, packaged in its wrapper and then in a support-laden cardboard box stamped with the words, 'You stole a cookie that's good for you and tasty, too. Quick, eat the evidence.' I was impressed with these measures they took to keep the cookie in tact in shipping it out to me. That says something about this company!
I wasn't expecting much from a healthy, good-for-you cookie. I'd tasted what other companies had attempted in making 'healthy' cookies and to be honest; if they didn't contain the pieces of chocolate the cookie just couldn't stand on its own. In most cases they have been hard or crumbly. I even tried a healthy chocolate chip cookie that flaunted flax seed as one of its main ingredients, to say the least, that cookie was filling and you couldn't deny the fiber content in it!
Well, I think the Kashi Company may have actually done it! Not only does the TLC Oatmeal Dark Chocolate cookie taste good, but the texture is nice also!
They've actually succeeded in producing a soft, CHEWY cookie with melty chocolate chips baked in! And, with a strong chocolate flavor, it tastes great!
As far as it being good for you, well here is the nutritional breakdown of the 1 serving sized cookie they will send to you in the mail:
