My baby is in high school now
Our weekends are so special
We always take walks at night
She's always wantin' my advice
She knows I've "been there, done that"
I've never kept my past from her
After a few miles, we stop at "our spot"
The overpass over I-640
We just talk about everything
Over the eight lanes of traffic
High above the danger and chaos
To shelter her is a mistake
I tell her what boys REALLY think
What drugs really do
How love really feels
Why she's so confused
Where she'll end up
Who she'll become
When she'll know it's TIME
With the moon above
And the Interstate below
I tell her she'll be alright
That I have faith in her
To make the right choices
And if she's ever scared
Or in doubt about ANYTHING
Aunt Luchrisa and I will always be
Just a phone-call away!
