Kate Gosselin to Co-Host The View Again in March

Kate Gosselin will co-host The View in March according to reports from ABC. With Kate Gosselin back as the co-host of The View, it will more than likely give ABC the ratings boost that they attempt to achieve each time they play the co-host game. With Kate Gosselin will come her fans, and it will also probably lead to viewers that don't like her tuning in as well. This isn't the first time that Kate Gosselin has co-hosted The View, as she took to the desk back in September of 2009 when Elisabeth Hasselbeck was out for three days during her maternity leave. The response must have been good enough to bring her back for another run.

This time Kate Gosselin isn't replacing anyone on the staff, and will instead just be joining Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and Hasselbeck at the table. It could be a little full up there though, so maybe they will try something different with the six women all playing host for the day. The guests for the morning haven't been announced just yet, but the episode will air on March 11 during its normal broadcast time. Maybe this is something that people who watch The View might be interested in seeing, but for the rest of the world this sure seems like another publicity stunt on behalf of Miss Gosselin.

Some will view the return of Kate Gosselin to television as another step towards lack of standards on television. The View is intended for television viewers to tune in with interest and not necessarily for the interviewing abilities of the hosts. Several of the people sitting at the table (or on the couch) on that show are just terrible at conducting interviews, but because the format exists that allows them to simply crack jokes at times, it almost seems like a perfect fit for Kate Gosselin. Now the rumors will begin that maybe Gosselin is being prepped for her own talk show, and maybe there will even be an announcement about her next show with TLC. For ABC, this makes them look desperate for ratings.
