Dancing with the Stars Could See a Big Boost in Ratings with Kate Gosselin on the Show
There had been a number of rumors floating around about who would be in the 2010 cast of Dancing with the Stars, but until today Kate Gosselin had not been one of the mentioned names. Maybe it was too obvious to suggest that Kate Gosselin would want to grab another 15 minutes of fame in such a fashion, but it seems she is really risking embarrassing herself by undertaking this reality competition show. Now she won't have any excuses when people decide to judge her on the show, and when she whines about it to the press, she really won't have a leg to stand on. No pun intended.
From the standpoint of the producers for Dancing with the Stars, this is a really good decision for at least the first couple of weeks this season. Getting Kate Gosselin on the show will definitely bring in a lot of additional viewers, and Gosselin probably saw this as a nice paycheck. Don't be fooled here, because Gosselin is being paid well to compete in the competition, whether she finds success in the votes or not. There will be a lot of training involved in getting ready for the 2010 season 10 competition, and it has to make her fans wonder where the kids are going to play into this. It sure sounds like there will be some good opportunities for 'family' shots of the audience cheering her on.
