Actress Kate Hudson Kate Hudson and Muse rocker Matthew Bellamy Matthew Bellamy are now proud parents of their first baby boy together.

The Oscar-nominated actress gave birth to a healthy baby boy in Los Angeles on Saturday night. The good news was confirmed by the star's representative.

The little new arrival will join big brother, 7-year-old Ryder, Kate Hudson's first son with ex-husband, Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes. The name of the baby has not been made public.

According to reports, the delivery was without any complications and both mom and the new-born are doing well. The new child is first for Bellamy, but second for Kate, who already has a son from her previous seven-year marriage, which ended in 2007.

32-year-old Kate Hudson, whose mother is actress Goldie Hawn, told back in September, "He's lovely."

In late January, the actress confirmed her pregnancy and admitted that life was a little more chaotic with another baby on board. While talking about her new pregnancy, Kate Hudson happily shared, "I babble a lot. I forget words. And how to put sentences together. I just give up."

Later in April, the talented Kate Hudson said, "This is a totally different pregnancy, completely. It couldn't be more opposite...With Ryder, I didn't even have a nursery. I didn't really have a house until I was seven months pregnant."

In her previous interview, Kate Hudson expressed that she had a hunch that the baby is a girl. Because she had a son with former husband, Hudson felt at that time that it would be a daughter.

Earlier this year, Kate Hudson also adopted a non-scientific gender-prediction method that involved a piece of hair and a ring and suggested she would have a girl. However, the method didn't work out and she welcomed another male member.

Initially, Kate Hudson rubbished talks of getting married again. She said, "I don't feel it necessary to get married. I already have one child, and have had one divorce, so it is not necessarily the golden ticket. I just want to be happy."

However, she changed her mind and showed off her huge engagement ring worth an estimated $200,000 and announced her engagement on "The Today Show" on April 27.

The "Something Borrowed" actress also enjoyed a casual, family-friendly baby shower on June 5 with her pals, Courteney Cox Courteney Cox , Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe Rachel Zoe , at a private home in Malibu. It has been reported that Hudson and Bellamy are expected to spend time together at the 33-year-old Muse frontman's home in London.

The romance of Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy caught fire in late spring 2010 and the couple announced her pregnancy in January 2011. The duo had reportedly met years ago in Australia before they got involved in a romantic relationship.
