Kate Middleton Black Wedding Outfit, Faux Pas or Did Kate Look Great? (Photo Slideshow Links)

Kate Middleton has been thrust into the spotlight and can say goodbye to any shred of privacy she has, including her choice to wear a sheer black outfit at a friend's wedding last week. While many already know that Kate's love of fashion has landed her on many best-dressed lists, including Vanity Fair and People, many websites are divided on whether Kate's black outfit worn to Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and Louise Sarah Stourton's wedding became Kate's first fashion faux pas.

Several U.K. news outlets (the Daily Mail and All Voices), weren't impressed with Prince Williams future wife's selection of wearing black to a wedding.

Additionally News of the World, another U.K. media outlet) was very curious whether or not Kate wore a bra with the plunging neck line and sheer top, writing the headline "Preview: Did Kate Boob?" Click here to see their story.

Actually, Kate's black outfit appeared very typical of the style and fashion sense she has exhibited over the years. The dress (or blouse with skirt) had a sheer front but was well-covered underneath a black velvet Libelula coat, a stylish black pillbox hat, and the plum-colored shoes and clutch gave the entire outfit a nice touch and showcased Middleton's fashion flair.

At least one U.K. media outlet liked Kate's selection. InStyle U.K. worte, "Black is perhaps not the most traditional shade to wear to a wedding, but these days it's increasingly more accepted and, quite frankly, Kate looks divine."
