Kate Middleton and the Queen - a Work in Process?

Kate Middleton's decision to appear or not to appear on the cover of Vogue, is not her own. While she has every right to talk it over with Prince William, it looks like Kate has a higher power putting the brakes on this photo shoot. According to the Daily Co. UK, the Queen was not at all amused with Kate's recent invitation to grace the cover of Vogue Magazine.

The Queen is once again surrounded by unwanted attention paid to the Royal Family by a woman who married into the family. She experienced this with Princess Diana and now the Queen has Kate's fashion icon status to deal with. While Kate is still new to the Royal Family, her relationship with the Queen is still a work in process.

Kate is going to need to find that delicate balance of not losing herself inside the Royal Family, but still landing safely under the radar of the Queen. Princess Diana couldn't do it, will Kate succeed?

While Kate Middleton's decision was to turn down the Vogue offer, it is not known just how much the Queen Mother played into that decision. The Queen is in for one bumpy ride as Kate will be looked at as a fashion trend setter for years to come and this is certainly not the last offer she will get to grace the cover of a magazine.
