Royal Wedding: Kate's Wedding Dress Photos Here!
The lace used for Kate's wedding dress is reportedly a special pattern and style, never worn by anyone before today. The royal wedding photos available here show Kate's dress in wonderful detail, from the two-tone, ivory and white coloring of the satin, to the impeccable lace detail, to the long, sweeping train.
The Kate Middleton wedding dress (photos here) seen at the royal wedding today is a thousand times more beautiful than the dress Princess Diana wore on her wedding day, which was mired in the overstyling and bigness of the 1980's, then rumpled by her carriage ride to Westminster Abbey. The end result looked as though someone had hollowed out Stay Puft from Ghostbusters and shoved Princess Di inside, with only her head visible to the viewing public. (We're sorry, but it's true!)

Kate's wedding dress, on the other hand, reminds us of Grace Kelly in her wedding dress. The fit of Kate's dress was superb, as was the case with the Grace Kelly wedding dress. Opposite of Princess Di's dress in nearly every way, Kate's dress was, without a doubt, far more stylish and sophisticated. That may be for good reason: Kate Middleton is a lot older than Princess Di was at her own royal wedding in 1981.

Post a CommentKate's dress far and above beat out Diana's. I know Diana was going for "fairy tale," but that dress was horrid! Raw silk wrinkles when you LOOK at it! And it did nothing for her figure. Kate's dress, on the other hand, was a thing of beauty, and I love that it was classy and sexy at the same time. I just wish it had had a longer train and some sparklies on that veil. Otherwise, it was perfect!
