"Kate Plus 8" Premiere: Did You Watch?

Kate Gosselin returned to the TLC channel with two new specials Sunday night. "Kate Plus 8" premiered with a look at the lives of Kate and her eight children. Last fall, TLC was forced to suspend filming on the previous show, "Jon and Kate Plus 8" due to the legal battle brewing between Jon and Kate Gosselin. Jon Gosselin later settled with TLC, allowing filming of the children to resume.

The first special aired with the main focus on the sextuplets' sixth birthday celebration. Kate and the kids took a trip to Orlando, Florida for a vacation filled with different activities. The show began with the film crew returning to the Gosselin home in Pennsylvania. The kids were surprised to know the crew was returning and ran through the home with pure excitement.

A second episode of "Kate Plus 8" aired with the primary focus on Kate and what her life has been like for the last year. This episode featured her hair transformation, going from her infamous "backwards mullet" to hair extensions. Also included was her turn on "Dancing with the Stars", as well as her dealing with difficult news of her possibly fighting to keep custody of her children.

In the fall, Kate Gosselin will premiere a show "Twist of Kate." The series will feature Kate traveling around the country to meet with different families and work to help them with challenges they face.

What were your thoughts on the two "Kate Plus 8" specials? Would you tune in to watch "Twist of Kate"? Let me know your thoughts.

I refuse to watch, nor will I click on a video link. Exploitation is wrong.
