Kate Plus 8: She's Back!
Kate Gosselin Returns with Her 8 Adorable Children, but Minus Jon
Is "Kate Plus 8" an ongoing series, or just a one-time event? TLC says Kate will star in "limited" "Kate Plus 8" specials. The first 2 hour special, airing June 6, will feature the sixth birthday celebration of sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Leah and Joel. Long time viewers will recall the tension of their kids' fifth birthday party, when Jon and Kate were in the midst of their acrimonious divorce. Will Jon make an appearance in this episode? We'll have to watch and see.
The twins, who officially turned 6 on May 10, apparently had a frosty pool party, with locals reporting the temperatures on party day at 47 degrees. But never fear: the Gosselin pool is heated and connects with a hot tub as well.
But can this fill two hours? No, more is in store. TLC sneak peeks show Kate packing up the kids for a trip to Discovery Cove in Florida - yet another stop on the seemingly endless Gosselin gravy train. TMZ has also reported seeing the group filming during a private tour at Boggy Creek Airboat Rides in Kissimmee. It is most likely the perks like this (as well as the money) that keep Kate signing up herself and her kids for more and more airtime. I predict many confessional scenes of Kate sighing, lamenting the loss of her "helper" Jon, and explaining how exhausting it is to raise her children, while then adding the obligatory bit about being grateful for the opportunities offered her to "make memories."
It's amazing to realize that the sextuplets are now older than Mady and Cara were when "Jon and Kate Plus 8" first began filming. Though the parents have changed a lot, and sadly not for the better, let's hope that the kids are growing in only positive ways. Fans are no doubt anxious to see the kids again, since they were the real reason many of us enjoyed watching the Gosselin family to begin with.

I watched it. It seemed to be pretty interesting. It held my attention. I taped it on the DVR, and just put it on pause when I had to leave the room.
