Kate Szatmari Shoots Denyce Lawton for Mami

Photographer, Kate Szatmari's work is always classic, glamorous, and memorable. Based in Los Angeles Ca, Szatmari is a sought after photographer whose clients include Mekhi Phifer, Omar Epps, Kurupt, Glasses Malone as well as major music labels and advertisers. Her work is a combination of an exceptional eye and a digital mind which she is an expert at. Szatmari recently shot the exotic popular model and actress Denyce Lawton for Mami magazine.

Lawton appears on Tyler Perry's hit show, House of Payne as Dana. Before being casted on The TBS comedy, Lawton appeared in editorials, commercials, and print ads for Baby Phat, Karl Kani and Adidas. The well traveled actress was also featured in music videos for Busta Rhymes, Nas' One Mic, 112's colorful Peaches and Cream and is the principal in Plies and Ashanti's new video If you want it. Lawton made her presence known in shows such as The Parkers, Half and Half and the urban classic, State Property before joining her cast-mates on House of Payne.

Styled by Jessica Adjemon and Nicc Crawford, Lawton was flawless in a shimmery three-quarter blouse and white boy shorts. Accessoried with minimal authentic jewelery, Lawton's look was simple and timeless. Szatmari's alluring black and white shots of Lawton were glossy and chic. Included in the editorial was a distant profile of Lawton in relaxed denims as well as a more pin-up styled photograph capturing all of Lawton's beautiful features. Lawton confided that her personal style could be described as original, stating that she has never been a follower and basis her look on "her mood the weather and where she is going." Born in Seoul, South Korea Lawton's style is a mixture of many things but an emphasis of a retro and practical look. "I can rock my favorite Russel Athletics sweats and some New Balances or hit the red carpet in a couture gown. I could go out bohemian or just in a wife beater, some distressed jeans and a lot of accessories," she revealed. When it comes to her beauty regime, Lawton also keeps it simple and minimal, she tells Mami that, " I'm simple and old school. I use black soap and moisturize with Clean & Clear. I make a habit to wash my makeup off my face every night if I've worn some. I use L'Oreal pore astringent and toner then moisturize."

Lawton's fans can catch her every week on House of Payne airing on Wednesday nights on TBS and she is also featured in the upcoming film Redlined.
