Katherine Harris is an Evil B#%$

Religious Whackos Have No Business in Leadership

If I had to give an embodiment a week ago of who I think the most negatively influential political mind of our day is, the purest embodiment of evil outside of George Bush, I would have waffled for a moment between loudmouth pseudo intellectual Anne Coulter and a little known person who had lessons in puritanical evil with Satan himself (though I am not sure what she charged him for the lessons) Katherine Harris. Now I would not waffle. Katherine Harris is as evil as they come.

If you aren't sure who Katherine Harris is but you remember the name, she is the one who appointed George W. Bush as President of the United States, formerly the Secretary of State for the State of Florida, now a member of the United States House of Representatives. Katherine of course, said that there was no conflict of interest between her being the co-chair of the Florida Bush Campaign and simultaneously serving in the capacity of Secretary of State in Florida, the person responsible for certifying the votes of the election in Florida.

It was Katherine who, in the end allowed the vote to be certified, thus propelling George "Dubbya" Bush to the Presidency of the United States. I expect that a few fringe level Dubbya supporters are still waiting in the wings, and I will hear people tell me to stop whining about the 2000 election, but the reality is that it was really an appointment, and unless you can show me that 37% of the voters in Broward County Florida actually, with intent, chose Pat Buchanan to be the President of the United States, it was rigged. There are no two ways about it.

For those of you die hards with the gun racks pasted to the back window of your pickup trucks that tell me he won against John Kerry, I will say only that I find it singularly interesting that there were no long lines in traditionally republican precincts, but the lines were as long as FIVE HOURS in places where Democrats traditionally win. It's not just about the 5-hour lines though. It's about the millions of people who showed up to vote but couldn't or didn't stick around for five hours to do so. While some of the fault lies with their dedication, insufficient polling stations falls under the fault of the executive branch of government.

I will give you that it's POSSIBLE John Kerry still would have gotten his ass handed to him if everyone who showed up to vote had actually voted, but I will also say that the fault for 2004 lies as much with the 2000 appointment as it does with the fact that Kerry was not anywhere close to the politician that Al Gore is. The sad thing about the 2000 election is that it could all happen again, because while we have changed some election procedures, we have not made changes to the law that would allow for a revote in a similar state of confusion.

In any case, I digress. Let's get back to the evil that is Katherine Harris. Representative Harris recently sat down to meet with a religious journal writer for a candid interview. In my estimation, it was her assessment of the religious faiths of the candidates, George Bush and Al Gore that Bush was more like her in her belief system and her faith was such that she couldn't pass up the opportunity to play her hand in perpetrating one of the greatest injustices in American history. Terrorists have killed their thousands and George W. Bush his ten-thousands!
Need proof that Katherine Harris is unstable and unfit for office… and downright evil/ scary? Check out these little tidbits she told the religious journal writer mentioned above:

1) Katherine said that "Separation of church and state is a lie and that the nation's founding fathers never intended the country to be a nation of secular laws.
2) She also said that if "Christians are not elected, politicians will legislate sin"
3) Proving her God complex is still in tact, she said "Separating religion and politics is wrong because God is the one who chooses our rulers" (I think maybe she fancies herself God, 'cuz last I checked SHE chose Dubbya for us)
4) When challenged on these issues, her response was that she had been speaking to a "Christian audience, addressing a common misperception that people of faith should not be actively involved in government". (Apparently it's okay to speak heresy to Christian audiences.)

While undoubtedly faith that does not permeate every ounce of our existence is not faith, but rather an excuse to have a Sunday morning social club, the reality is that what bugs me most about people who CALL THEMSELVES Christians is their propensity to be anything BUT Christlike. Call me strange, but it seems to me that if you are going to affiliate yourself with someone as a follower, that you should do your best to EMULATE that person. I get a lot of flack for how much I bag on "Christians", but the reality is that I do so because I think that's what Christ would have done. He was killed for how he attacked the religious people of his day. While there are exceptions to every rule, the reality is there are a lot more "Pharisees" invading the church today, than there are Christ followers. Katherine Harris is an evil Pharisee who deserves to be handed her electoral head come November.

  • Katherine Harris is Evil
  • Christians should be held accountable to be Christlike
  • Pharisees are as prevalent today as they were in biblical times.
For a time, Hitler was a ruler. According to Katherine Harris, he was hand selected by God.

I doubt you'd be one of Ghandi's heroes

There seems to be a theme that is consistent in all of your posts...
The theme is: I am good and everyone else is evil. What sad things occurred in your childhood that would grow into such cynicism????
