Katherine Jackson Mourns: Michael Jackson is Finally Laid to Rest

Ms. Marie
Seventy days after his death Michael Jackson has been laid to rest. It is still hard to believe that Michael Jackson is dead. Being a fan of Michael Jackson's since his earliest days, and adoring him as I do my heart feels a certain sadness for him and the life that he lived. Yes, he had lived a life that most would yearn for; never a worry about money or possessions. One thing he did not seem to have, and could not buy was an inner happiness.

His children, Prince Michael, Paris, and Blanket filled that void in many ways, I believe. Through them he experienced a love, joy, and childhood he had always wanted. As a child Michael gave to the world all he had been blessed with; his God given talents that he exchanged for his childhood.

Personally, I do not believe Michael Jackson had any regrets about giving, entertaining us until our hearts and souls were over-flowing with joy. He willfully traded his own happiness to make the world happy. We love his music, are mesmerized by his dance moves, captivated with his unique style - no matter how bizarre it may have seemed. Michael Jackson gave his heart and soul to the world.

My heart goes out to his mother, Katherine Jackson, this amazing woman shared her son with the world, and has endured heartaches we may never understand. As a mother I know the pain felt when someone hurts your child, it does not matter if it is as simple as being picked on at school, when your child is hurt the pain is ours. One can only imagine all the pain Mrs. Jackson has endured over the years.

I am sure Katherine Jackson's heart has ached for her son, Michael, in many ways and for many reasons over the years. It is easy to believe that going through her son's trial was heart wrenching for Michael's mother. And with the sudden death of her second to youngest son, her baby boy, one can feel her pain in a very personal way. However, this is a woman that has, in my opinion, endured great and unbearable pain through out Michael's career.

Like any mother Katherine Jackson, it is safe to assume, is extremely proud of her son. What mother would not hold their head high, shoulders back and feel pride and joy? I have heard the rumors that the Jackson family only cared about the money, moving from poverty to comfort, but find it hard to believe that a mother like Michael's would value her sons success more than her child. To have a child that has talent is one thing, but Michael Jackson, the essence of his being, was caring, loving, compassionate and selfless. That is the child I believe his mother cherished and mourns for; Michael Jackson, the son she gave birth to, nourished, raised, and shared with the world.

Think of all the time she lost with her son while he was out on the road performing for us, his fans, no amount of money in the world could buy that back for Mrs. Jackson, it is a sacrifice she made. I believe that she understood that we, as mothers give birth to our children, but it is God who gives us life. Our Maker knows us before we are created, He has a divine purpose for our lives, and gives us all what we need. He places in our hearts the dreams and desires to for full our purpose.

Many of us live our life not knowing or understanding our purpose leading us to feel hopeless and lost. Somehow, Katherine Jackson knew that God had a special purpose for her son Michael, and she allowed him to live the life that Our Maker had planned for Michael Jackson while he was still in her womb.

Yes, there are some parents who only want to exploit their children, in hopes of achieving dreams and desires that they had for themselves, but was unable to achieve. This is not Katherine Jackson.

Katherine Jackson is a mother who we all can learn from, her values, emotional strength, compassion, understanding, and unselfishness is to be commended. Although, her children have all been in the lime light, so to speak, she has raised nine loving, respectful, loyal children.

Rumors are just speculation. When I see this family, the Jackson's, it brings tears to my eyes because of their strength, and unity. Stardom and success can, and in a lot of cases has, tear a family apart - ironically it has kept the Jackson family together.

Michael Jackson has been laid to rest, and it is sad that his mother has had to suffer the lose of her beloved child. Even more heartbreaking is the fact that his death could have been prevented.

Yes, Michael Jackson's legacy may be his music and talent. However, I believe that even in his unfortunate death Michael will continue to give; future deaths may be prevented. Knowing Michael's personality it would make him happy to save even one life. He was a true humanitarian.

Michael Jackson's death has opened doors and stopped the silence about the wide-spread problem with doctors over medicating and over prescribing medications to patients that trust them. Please, do not allow this door to be shut as time passes. Do not let Michael Jackson's death be in vain.

Let justice prevail, and let us continue creating awareness. We must fight until the laws are changed, and unscrupulous doctors are held accountable for their disregard for human life.

Allow Katherine Jackson, his three children, Prince Michael, Paris, and Blanket along with the rest of his family and those who love him to experience true and lasting closure.

May God Bless you Mrs. Jackson, Prince Michael, Paris, Blanket, the Jackson brothers, sisters, and family. May you find peace in your hearts.

I nominate: Mrs. Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson's mother, as Mother of a Lifetime.
