Texans Have a Chance to Start the Reversal of the United States' Political Demise
Bitter repetitions of the old "lesser of two evils" cliché pile up around the office water coolers and float in the air at the local cafes and coffee shops. Then along comes a political prophet with good news: the libertarians have a candidate in the running and you can vote for her for Texas governor.
The news is rejected. The sinners mumble about "wasted votes", and the more mentally challenged among them say they want a "conservative" candidate as they confuse the term "libertarian" with "liberal".
Friends, we are never going to get past the status quo "business as usual" with tax and spend Democrats AND Republicans perpetually encroaching on your freedoms, your property, and your pursuit of happiness unless people start taking advantage of the other option.
Does your conscience bother you as you leave the polls election cycle after election cycle knowing that you voted for the candidate who would run the train into hell just a bit slower than the other guy? Aren't you tired of always choosing the path to destruction, only because the other choice was a faster path to destruction?
With the sweeping victories of the democrats in 2008, and the instalment of the most reckless and wasteful legislative and executive branches in history, we have gone too far to allow this madness to continue at any pace. When you are at the brink of disaster, it doesn't make much difference what speed you travel the final fraction of an inch at.
The only thing that will give us a chance of saving this great nation is a total reversal. State by state, county by county, city by city. For Texans, the opportunity is clear.

Libertarians are true conservatives. They believe the federal government should be limited to the specific duties assigned to it in the United States Constitution. They believe that the rights of the individual are sacred and should be upheld. Most of all, they believe in LIBERTY, which is their namesake.

Excellent article, and most excellent explanation of what Libertarian truly means (as in telling the government "Get the hell off my back and let me live my own life".) May Kathie Glass be the next Governor of the Great State of Texas!
