Katie Holmes and 5 Other Celebrity Dominatrix-Inspired Magazine Covers

Katie Holmes shed her squeaky-clean image in the cover shoot for the Vogue Espana August 2011 issue. Tom Cruise's wife wore a leather hat and a body-conscious Lanvin Fall 2011 lace dress for fashion photographer Tom Munro.

Holmes isn't the only celebrity to embrace her dominant, sensual side. While not all of the following celebrities wield whips and exert their supremacy over another person in their respective magazine cover shoots, they do all wear the body-conscious leather, vinyl and lace outfits characteristic of the subculture and play up their sensuality.

Khloe Kardashian

Khloe is by far the most outspoken Kardashian sister, so it's hardly surprising that Mrs. Odom posed in spiked orbital headgear for the January 2011 issue of YRB Magazine. "I love experimenting with different looks, and this [editorial] was the perfect opportunity for me to do that," she wrote on her blog. Photographer Mike Ruiz and fashion director Darius Baptist helped bring Khloe's sensual sci-fi look to life.

Lady Gaga

When hasn't the Mother Monster pushed the boundaries of sensuality and fashion? The provocative singer donned dominatrix-inspired duds for three separate magazine cover shoots over the past couple of years. In July 2009, the "Edge of Glory" singer posed in dark sunglasses, a policeman's hat, a neck-obscuring choker, a mesh long-sleeved shirt, a nude thong and black tape to cover her lady bits for Maxim. Other outfits from the same editorial included a barely there leather cage bra and hot pants with crossed leather suspenders, a cutout mask, deltoid-high vinyl gloves, and a black corset worn atop a mesh-and-lace bodysuit.

An FHM Germany editorial followed in April 2010 that saw Gaga in the same outfits and included an image in which she bit a riding crop aggressively. In September 2010, Gaga was the face of the Vanity Fair Style Issue, stunning fashionistas with a long lace bodysuit and lavender-gray hair.

Keri Hilson

Hilson sizzled on the December 2010 cover of Vibe magazine wearing a black waist cincher, shiny skivvies, a cone bra and a military-inspired leather hat. Thick metal jewelry and cuffs added edginess to the sensuous lingerie, while the "No Boys Allowed" singer's assertive gaze made this cover image one to remember.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi is no stranger to controversy, and in the April 2010 issue of Vogue Russia, the inimitable supermodel donned thigh-high leather boots, black lingerie and a blunt bob for a most scandalous photo shoot. The supermodel's notorious penchant for pugilism made the riding crop she wielded in the editorial even more imposing.

Eva Longoria

"Desperate Housewives" star Eva sizzled as the cover model for the Citizen K Fall 2009 issue. Photographer Ruven Afanador captured Longoria wearing high-waisted briefs, thigh-high stockings, a black bra and a sharp angled coat. Her rounded bob, baby bangs and dark, smoky makeup set completed the sensuous look.
