Mrs. Tom Cruise Back to Work After Taking Some Time Off
Holmes is enjoying her time in the city and even had a chance to visit the local Target.
"I met some really great people, and it was nice. They did recognize me, and it was a pleasure meeting them. We had nice chats about kids, and it was lovely."
The movie is about three friends who set out to rob the Federal Reserve Bank. The brunette beauty was excited from the moment she read the script.
"I'm pumped. I loved it from the second I read it. I love interesting female characters, and this is full of them," Holmes said.
Holmes finds her character, Jackie,intriguing for several reasons.
"She's funny, she's smart and just a little bit misunderstood. She's involved in this crime, but she's sort of delighted to just be a part of something and have girlfriends for the first time. She's a type of person who creates a happier environment than she's actually in. ... I like that about her. She's a free spirit."
According to Cruise's spokesperson, Paul Bloch, the mega star is set to join his wife and 1-year-old daughter in Bayou country. He recently finished filming Lions for Lambs and is will most likely live in Shreveport until Holmes wraps up her latest project.
This will be the first film Holmes has done since the birth of her daughter.
"For Suri, watching Mom at work should be a treat: It's another project we're going to handle together, and that's part of the fun."
Holmes and Cruise, nicknamed TomKat by the media married on November 18, 2006. The super couple took the world by storm in April of 2005 when they made their first public appearance together.
Cruise proposed with a five carat diamond atop the Eiffel Tower four months after meeting the 28-year-old starlet.. Holmes is step mother to Cruise's two children with Nicole Kidman, Conner and Isabella.

You mean Tom actually let her go? That a shocker:-) With all the media hype latley about how controlling he is, it seems pretty weird that he would allow her to go off and shoot a movie in another state. I guess it just goes to show you can't always believe what you read in Star. Geat article!
