Poor Katie Waissel. Just when things seem like they are beginning to look up for her, another shower of controversy falls on her. British newpapers have today revealed that her grandmother is a prostitute.

It sounds like the kind of story you might read on a spoof website, but this morning, Katie Waissel's grandmother Sheila Vogel has been "outed" as a £250 an hour prostitute!

The news was allegedly broken to Katie Waissel after her stunning "X Factor" performance on Saturday night. A source said, "She was taken into a private room by a couple of female staff who told her the whole story. As you can imagine she was quite distraught and devastated. It came like a bolt from the blue for her - she had no idea that her gran was involved in anything like this."

This news must have come as quite a shock for the twenty-four year old who is said to have been very close to her grandmother. A family member said, "She is extremely fond of Sheila who has been really supportive throughout her career." Indeed, Katie Waissel even used her grandmother's name when she tried to make it as a singer in the U.S.

Sheila Vogel, 80, goes by the pseudonym Cecelia Bird on website called Vintage Vamps where she is said to offer her services. This cultured lady has recently celebrated her 80th birthday, but keeps her youthful vigour thanks to an active life style, including frequent trips to the gym. Cecelia Bird's profile shows an array of photographs - though her eyes are covered to protect her identity - of her in a variety of outfits. One of these outfits is rather risque for such a mature lady and they are very easy to find on the Vintage Vamps website.

The ease with which her profile can be found could ultimately be a cause of concern, as well as a source of embarrassment. With Katie Waissel being so unpopular, having yet another target for the public to aim their anger at can only be a bad thing.
