Katrina Halili at the Senate

I caught excerpts of the Philippine Senate inquiry into the sex video scandals involving Dr. Hayden Kho and three of his women, namely Katrina Halili, Dr. Maricar Reyes, and well, an unnamed Brazilian model.

Of the three, it is Katrina Halili who has been enjoying the peak of her career. She is considered as one of the busiest actresses of her time. She is labeled as "Walang Pahinga," or literally, "No Rest."

But this afternoon, a teary Katrina told the Senate that she lost projects and endorsements because of the sex scandals. She even hurled a curse at Hayden at one point.

What a pity!

Katrina has been known to be a contrabida (villainess) in shows and movies, but in real life, she is subjected to the worst kind of humiliation--getting your intimate moments videotaped for everybody to see. Apparently, Katrina was not aware of the videotaping.

In fact, she said that all she has done wrong is to fall in love--with the wrong man. But for me, it is giving your all to a man who is not your husband. Anyway, that is beside the point.

I wonder how Hayden will undo the damage he has done to the lives of these women. Even Dr. Vicki Belo has admitted that they too, had a sex video.

Sigh, even if Hayden pleads insanity as his defense (for they say that voyeurism is a mental illness), nevertheless, the damage has been done.

Let this serve as a lesson to all the women--married or not--be careful with who you are with. The person whom you trust and love the most may be the one who can pull you down and destroy you.
