Has the construction company been paid by MEMA or FEMA to store those cottages? Click here to view the empty housing just sitting
.
Those whose involvement needs questioning and investigation are TL WALLACE CONSTRUCTION, Gulfport, MS, and TIMBERLAND HOMES -- Mississippi Cottage Project. For months now, these empty homes have been sitting on their business property while Katrina victims get moved from hotel to hotel or shelter to shelter.
This is not to mention the cottages provided by FEMA that were ruined by formaldehyde. These trailers are the ones provided by MEMA which currently houses many of the victims. So who is going to do something about these that sit or rather EXPOSE these that are sitting and the hotel bills we are running up?
One displaced Katrina victim, a veteran that I know personally, has been moved here and there so many times and has been told so many different excuses, yet he still waits in a hotel. I'm sure he is at the end of the list because he doesn't have young children and lives alone. What is Washington doing about this? Does Barack Obama's office know about this? Is anyone going to do anything with these empty houses? I hope the president-elect not only hears about this, but cuts the government waste. This issue is just one of many.
