The victims of Hurricane Katrina which struck the North-central Gulf coast of the US in 2005 are claiming this amount from the Government for their loss and trauma. Most affected areas were New Orleans, Louisiana. Katrina becomes more horrifying as the "Flood protection system" failed. The victims also feel that the help was not on time, adequate and up to the mark.
3 quadrillion dollars can buy virtually anything you can think, even a country, if the people of that country agree. A mansion, fleet of cars, private jet, helicopter and much more is just easy. Of course this amount of money will also bring much more with it in interest, threat on life, constant acquaintance with the mafia and lessened peace of mind.
Time and again it has been proved that Man is absolutely "Nothing" when it comes to the fight against nature. Man might have progressed a lot, took control of many things and created wonders but still Nature has that upper hand and will have it, always. In a way it is good, as it reminds us to keep our feet on the ground.
The main question is whether 3 quadrillion, or even more money be able to bring back the people who have died? Will the money mean anything for a 7 year old girl who has lost all her family? It might help her grow up but will surely not be able to fill up the loss of family?
