The Couple Who Typically Enjoys Posing for the Camera Keeps it Private
Katy Perry and Russell Brand had a "private and spiritual" ceremony
The first photo Indian paparazzi got of Katy Perry and Russell Brand was the couple arriving at the airport in Jaipur. Russell Brand did the usually hide your face with your sunglasses thing, but the typical strut your stuff Perry decided to throw a coat over her face. Meanwhile, Indian paparazzi loaded their cameras for more photo ops, including pics of Brand as he arrived at the location of his wedding and photos of the preparations at Aman-e-Khas luxury resort located in a tiger reserve in Ranthambore National Park.
At one point some of Brand's people fought with four members of the paparazzi, but the photographers still managed to get some prized photos, including Katy Perry the day after the wedding, seen hanging out with her sister and Brand. A "private and spiritual" ceremony was performed for the family members and close friends of Brand and Perry. The couple wore traditional Indian dress complete with henna tattoos, and the celebration included everything from elephants to snake charmers. The entire extravaganza was a six day celebration.
Although the wedding ceremony was guarded and heavily private, the two haven't kept their affection for one another private. Katy Perry and Russell Brand can often be seen tweeting to each other and Katy brazenly announced to the world that she tamed Russell Brand from his wild ways. The two met in Indian in December of 2009, and Brand asked Perry to marry him after only four months.
Did the couple violate an "eco-sensitive" area?
Ranthambore National Park is an "eco-sensitive" area. Did Katy Perry and Russell Brand violate the park with noise pollution? As reported at Ecorazzi, loud music was coming from the resort until 2:30 a.m., a disturbance for the animals in the area. The event is under investigation and fines will occur if the couple is found to be in violation.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand made it official by tweeting their happiness with a simple "We did!" along with a link to a photo with the names Russell and Katy in pink and blue. Brand and Perry presented identical tweets. How cute.
