The Google AdWord Keyword Tool shows how many times per month something is searched for. In this case the name Lady Gaga is searched for almost five times as much as the name Katy Perry is searched for each month. People search online for Lady Gaga way more than they do for Katy Perry.

Lady Gaga - 137 million results
The Google Search Engine reveals how many results are related to something on the Internet. In this case Lady Gaga has 79% more search results than Katy Perry does. Clearly their is more information and more interest online for Lady Gaga.

YouTube might be the most relevant result regarding these two celebrities since both are singers. Once again by more than double Lady Gaga is more popular of YouTube than Katy Perry is.

Lady Gaga has 58% more followers on Twitter than Katy Perry does. Not surprising since Lady Gaga is the most followed person on Twitter while Katy Perry is no slouch either as she is the 10th most followed person on Twitter in the world.
Who is More Popular Katy Perry or Lady Gaga?
Both of these superstar celebrity singers are extremely popular on the Internet and are two of the most recognized names in the world but by a wide margin Lady Gaga is more popular than Katy Perry. More people search for Lady Gaga every month, more search engine results are generated by Lady Gaga on both Google and YouTube and Lady Gaga has 58% more followers on Twitter than Katy Perry.
Lady Gaga is far more popular today than Katy Perry is and Katy Perry herself is one popular woman. Most celebrities today would kill to have the numbers Katy Perry does online but that just shows how really popular Lady Gaga is today.
