Katy Perry's Rubber Dress Makes a Statement
Pop singer Perry sported a rubber World Cup dress when she appeared on "James Corden's World Cup Live" talk show over the weekend. The dress was designed specifically for Katy and has the U.S. Old Glory on one side and England's Union Jack on the other.
Perry's dress was made this way to show her support of the U.S. and England teams. She feels divided because she is an American but engaged to comedian Russell Brand which is a Brit.
Katy is known for her over-the-top fashion sense and has had blue, pink, and black hair. Her clothes resemble everything from Little-Bo-Peep to life-size cartoon characters. Not slamming her just pointing out a fact.
Katy Perry was nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" category for her racy number one single "I Kissed a Girl," which appeared on her platinum Top 10 album "One of the Boys." Her album sales have been over 2 million and more than 13 million for tracks.
Perry's single, "I Kissed a Girl" shot to number 1 on the "Billboard Hot 100" and stayed there for seven straight weeks. Can you say way-to-go Katy?
Perry appeared on the cover of "Blender Magazine" and was described as "the breakthrough star of 2008" which was a true description of Katy.
Perry became engaged to Brit Russell Brand at the beginning of 2010 after meeting at the Video Music Awards in which Brand hosted in 2009. The couple had kept their relationship private until January of this year when reps confirmed their engagement.
Although planning to marry, Perry is still going strong and shows no signs of hanging up her mic or toning down her apparel any time soon. Even though bizarre at times, Katy Perry's style suits her and she wears it well.
