The Reno River Festival is a Kayaking festival in Downtown Reno, Nevada. The Reno River Festival is going strong in its 4th year. This Festival set to take place the weekend of May 10-13th. The Truckee River runs right through the heart of downtown Reno, Nevada and a kayak park have been built into a section of the river. The Kayak Park is named the Truckee River White Water Park. The Truckee River White River Park has year round access and is a total of 2,600 feet long with class 2 and 3 rapids. Surrounding the White Water Park there is Winfield Park, a great place to see live music, and to have a pick nick while watching the kayaks go by. During the festival you will also find many food vendors, booths, and a beer garden in the park. Also in the downtown area you will find shopping, antiques, eateries, coffee shops, a wine bar, a brewery, and much much more. Reno is a growing city, and has so many great things to offer!

The Reno River Festival is becoming a well known kayaking competition and there will be kayakers from across the nation in attendance. There will be a variety of competitions, expos, and demos. There will also be kayaking clinics held with the professionals. This is a great time to enjoy the beautiful downtown Reno area. Not every city can have a kayaking competition right in the heart of its downtown. If you are coming from out of town lodging is convenient as well. There are many downtown casinos that have good food and offer 24hour gaming and entertainment, Harrah's, Edorado, and the Silver Legacy are just to name a few. The casinos are great places to stay and they are all within walking distance to the Truckee River White Water Park.

So whether you live in the Reno area, or are coming from out of town you should definitely come downtown and enjoy this festival. The Reno River Festival offers up a chance to see world class kayakers, demos, and great live music. You will also experience good food, gaming and other entertainment.
