But it would be a mistake to claim that there is nothing to do in Kearney, NE. Truth is, opportunities abound in Kearney, NE if you know where to look. So, whatever your reason for visiting Kearney NE, plan to spend some time at what I consider the most interesting places in Kearney, Nebraska!

1. Kearney Area Children's Museum

If you have kids and struggle to keep them entertained during vacations, be sure to bring them to the Kid zone Kearney Area Children's Museum. The museum offers a wide variety of interactive and hands-on children's exhibits and at only three dollars per person (and children aged 24 months and younger free) it's a steal!

2. Great Platte River Road Archway

One of the more popular attractions in Kearney, Nebraska, the Great Platte River Road Archway is beautiful to behold, as well as education and entertaining. There, you can tour vintage Union Pacific trains and see a historic livery stable. There are also six historic Buffalo county buildings that capture visitors' attention. The Trails and Rails museum of Kearney, Nebraska is a great place to visit with kids.
