Keebler Mint Chocolate Creme Cookies: A Review
New Mint Chocolate Cookies from Keebler Creamier Than Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies
Something caught my eye when I was walking down the grocer's snack aisle today - Keebler chocolate mint creme middles cookies. These new cookies from Keebler looked scrumptious enough according to the tantalizing photo on the distinctive yellow package. A chocolate cookie featuring a recessed surface filled with a tasty looking green cream and chocolate fudge stripes, I figured I was probably looking at what would quickly become my new favorite Keebler cookie.
How'd These Chocolate Mint Cookies Taste?
Apparently, Keebler is going after the same group of people who anxiously await the arrival of Girl Scout thin mint cookies each year (folks like me). Because, without a doubt, that is exactly what these Keebler yumlicious cookies taste just like. However, the texture is somewhat different. Like Girl Scout thin mint cookies, these Keebler cookies also are crispy and have a thin layer of chocolate fudge covering them. However, the cream on top of the Keebler cookie gives these treats a decidedly softer, moister chew than thin mint cookies offer.
Overall, these chocolate mint cookies are very tasty, aren't too sweet or minty, and don't leave a syrupy aftertaste in my mouth like some other cream-based cookies do. Surprisingly luscious for a packaged cookie and definitely delicious, Keebler's mint creme middles are certainly a cookie worth trying.
