Keebler Town House Flip Sides Original Pretzel Crackers; Consumer Product Review
Keebler Has Been Manufacturing Delicious Quality Snacks for as Long as I Can Remember
The package is 6 ¼ x 2 ¾ x 9 inches and is red in color. There is 11.7 oz. (331 g) of product in each package.
These crunchy snacks are part salted pretzel and part cracker. Keebler claims they are delightfully different and they are right. They are oval shaped and a very convenient for supporting all your favorite toppings.
The pretzel side is crisp and tasty and the cracker side is light and buttery. They have taken the Town House Cracker to a new level and once you taste them you will agree. These marvelous snacks come in two delicious flavors. There is the original flavor and Cheddar. Each with its own distinctive flavor I bet you can't eat just one.
The top of the box is re-sealable and the inside package is clear plastic. If you have a clothes pin or paperclip you can keep the interior package sealed tight for longer storage, but don't count on having these little dreams in the house long because when you open them and indulge in the crispy goodness you can't stop munching.
You can top them with your favorite cheeses and dip. Try them with lunch meat and tomatoes, chicken or tuna salad is a nice twist. Try dipping them in chocolate for a sweet crunchy snack.
For dipping in chocolate you will need to first melt some chocolate chips. Do this by adding 1 tablespoon of shortening to 1 cup of chips. You can use milk, dark or semisweet chocolate chips for this any kind you like will do. Even try peanut butter chips because everyone knows peanut butter and pretzels and chocolate go great together.
In a medium microwaveable bowl put chips and shortening. Microwave on high heat for 1 minute remove from microwave and stir. Return bowl to microwave and heat for 30 seconds at a time removing in between to stir. Do not over heat, the chocolate mixture will get hard and clumpy making it almost impossible to work with and it will taste burnt and we don't want that.
Continue this process until all the chips and shortening are melted and combined as you stir. When you are finished melting your ingredients line a baking sheet, tray or flat piece of cardboard with waxed paper, parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Place the tray directly next to bowl of melted chips and with a long handled spoon begin to spread chocolate mixture over top of Flip Sides Pretzel Crackers. Continue this process until you have used all of the melted chocolate mixture or your tray is filled.
Refrigerate the chocolate topped pretzel crackers for about 15 minutes or until firm and serve. These can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
This is a great recipe for you to create with small children. The chocolate mixture doesn't get too hot and lets face it, kids love to help in the kitchen and what could be more fun then creating these wonderfully sweet deserts.
