If you have decided to start keeping your house clean and sweet smelling with nothing but natural products you may wish to check into some of these readily available items from your local grocery store.

If you are looking for a good all surface cleaner you won't have to go far. Simply take a bit of Vinegar and add salt to it. The acid in the Vinegar will remove the stains and the odor while the salt scrubs away the dirt like Comet. If you don't like the scent of Vinegar you can do the same with Baking Soda. Just dissolve about 4 tablespoons of Baking Soda in 1 quart of warm water for an instant all purpose cleaner that will deodorize the entire room.

Disinfectants courtesy of Mother Nature.
Regular cleaning with hot water will kill a few of the germs, but for a deeper clean you might want to consider using a mixture of ½ cup of borax, 1 gallon of hot water and a couple drops of an essential oil of your liking. Jasmine works well. Let it cool and then keep in a spray bottle.

Make those Windows nice and shiny!
Create a solution out of equal parts water and lemon juice, place in a spray bottle and clean away. Newspaper instead of paper towels helps to keep the windows streak free.
Another great solution is ¼ cup of white vinegar combined with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 1 quart warm water. Pour in spray bottle and use. Again using crumbled up newspaper instead of paper towels will help to keep them streak free. Buff when done.

Scour those hard clean surfaces with plain salt or Baking Soda. This makes a good non-abrasive cleaner.

A natural Drain cleaner
Pour ½ cup of Baking Soda down the drain, followed by 1 cup of white vinegar. Allow the mixture to foam and bubble up several minutes before flushing it down with a gallon of boiling hot water with the juice of ½ lemon mixed in, if half ½ lemon isn't available just substitute with 1/8 cup of lemon juice.

Do you have Porcelain that needs cleaning?
Cream of Tarter will do the job for you. Just sprinkle a generous measure of cream of Tarter on a damp clean cloth and rub the porcelain surface.

Lime Deposits are easily removed with pure lemon juice. Just use an old toothbrush and scrub away with a bit of lemon juice on it.

Have a Dishwasher you need to clean or want to use a green cleaner to wash dishes with?
For cleaning the residue out of the Dishwasher just use 1 cup of Baking Soda and let it go through the rinse cycle.

For Cleaning detergent mix 1 ½ Tablespoon of Baking Soda with 2 Tablespoons of Borax, this is in lieu of the dish detergent you can buy at the store.

Need to get your car odor free?
Uses an old sock freshly washed and place a couple brick of coal into it, this will eliminate the bad odors.

Use coffee grounds to keep your blacks, black longer.
Next time you are washing a load of blacks add 1 Tablespoon of granulated coffee to your first cycle. The same ingredient that stains your teeth dark will also keep your blacks looking dark longer.

I hope you like the ideas; keep your eyes out for further tips in the near future.
