How to make your own lip gloss and lip balm. Second to the eyes, our lips are one of our most notable features. How many times while talking to others have you found yourself focusing on their mouth. Our lips are subjected daily to many outside elements that cause them to dry out and become chapped and even crack. Now you can keep your lips soft, luscious and healthy with these quick and easy to follow directions below.

Cranberry Lip Gloss
1 tbsp sweet almond oil
10 fresh cranberries
1 tsp honey
1 drop of
vitamin E oil
Directions - Mix all the ingredients together in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for a couple of minutes or until the mixture just begins to boil. Stir well and gently crush the berries. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes, then strain through a fine sieve to remove all of the fruit pieces. When cool, stir then transfer into a small portable plastic container or tin.This tasty lip gloss will protect your lips from drying out and can be worn alone or over your lipstick for lots of shine.

Licorice Lovers Lip Balm
2 tbsp beeswax
7 tbsp sweet almond oil
1 tbsp honey
20-30 drops anise essential oil (to taste)
Directions - Warm beeswax and oil in double boiler, stirring gently until melted and blended. Add honey and anise essential oil. Mix well, and remove from heat. Stir until mixture begins to cool and thicken. Pour into small portable plastic container or tin. If you are a licorice lover, you are going to enjoy this yummy lip balm.

Sweet Vanilla Lip Gloss
2 tbsp plus 2 tsp almond oil or (sunflower or safflower oil)
2 tsp beeswax
1/2 tsp honey
3 drops vanilla
1/2 tsp liquid lecithin
Directions - In a double boiler melt together oil and wax. Gently stir in honey, vanilla and liquid lecithin, blend until completely mixed. If the honey and vanilla resist blending into the oil and wax, add a touch more lecithin. To test the lip gloss, coat a spoon in the liquid and wait for the residue to set and then try rubbing a little on your lips. If you like a softer lip gloss, add a little oil. If you like it firmer, add a little wax. Pour into small portable plastic container or tin. This delicious lip gloss tastes like a sugar cookie!

Honey Lip Balm
4 tsp of beeswax
15 tsp of Jojoba Oil
2 tsp of honey
Directions - In a double boiler melt oil and wax together over low heat. When the wax is melted remove from heat and stir in the honey very well. Pour into small portable plastic container or tin. This lip balm is great for chapped lips.

Peppermint Lip Balm
4 tbsp sweet almond oil
2 tsp of beeswax
13 drops of peppermint Essential Oil
Directions - In a double boiler melt oil and wax together over low heat. Stir well. Pour into small portable plastic container or tin. This lip balm will give your lips a tingling sensation.
