It is not necessary for you to use scouring pads that are harsh as these could scratch the sink's stainless steel surface and cause marks to be left on it. Use the right cleaning pads and restore the shine on the steel sink. If the kitchen is due for remodeling, you would definitely need to see that the surface of your steel sink is shining, and some simple steps are all that is necessary to remove stains and deposits caused by hard water. And you can do this without leaving any scratches on the surface of the sink.
A stainless steel sink can be the most expensive brand and have a very good finish, but if you do not clean it regularly it can get scratched and appear dull. And once a sink gets scratched, the scratches will be a place where soap and scraps of food can get stuck. There are a lot of methods with which you can bring back the shine on the stainless steel surface of the sink. There are certain products that can be used that you would have at home. It is not necessary for you to look for branded products that are advertised to bring the shine back on your sink. Once the shine is restored it would be advisable to use protective rubber mats that can save your sink from getting scratched again.
Products that are available at home to help you restore the shine on your kitchen stainless steel sink are vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, club soda, rubbing alcohol, lighter fluid and baking soda.
If the water you use is hard this can cause mineral deposits to build up on the surface of the sink. This requires that you wipe your sink dry after every use. If there are already deposits streaking the sink surface, use a paper towel soaked with white vinegar which you then rub on the streaks that show. Keep the towel on the streak for about half an hour and then use water to rinse the sink and then dry it completely.
Hydrogen Peroxide can cause your sink to remain sparkling and clean. Use a sponge to take in some of this chemical and scrub the sink with the sponge. This way you would have cleaned the sink as well as disinfected it. As before use water to rinse the sink and wipe it dry.
Club soda can be poured directly on the stainless steel sink's surface and a scouring pad can be used to remove the deposits and make your sink clean.
Water spots are best removed by using a cloth soaked with rubbing alcohol and wiping the sink's surface.
Stains, especially those caused by rust are easily removed by lighter fluid. Once the stains have been removed, use a normal cleanser to clean the surface of the sink and then dry it.
That simple kitchen ingredient baking soda can be used with water and this combination can be used to rub the surface of the skin. After rinsing and drying the sink subsequent to this you will find the surface of the sink shiny and clean.
