Keeping hydrated both outside and inside will help you to keep your body temperature down. Having a water bottle or small cooler with you at all times when you're outside will help you to fight off dehydration. Finding a place to sit down preferably in the shade when you begin to get warmer than you can handle will help you to cool down again. No matter what you have to do outside you have to be sensible about it.

While you might like to have your lawn looking perfect at all times that might not always be possible. If it's 75 degrees at 7 in the morning chances are it's just going to get hotter. You might not like the idea of getting up at four or five in the morning to do yard work but you might have to in order to keep cool in hot weather. Don't do more than your body can handle. Using things such as trailers, wheelbarrows and even trucks to assists you in the yard work will prevent you from doing more work than you have to in the heat.

Shower/ Soak in a Tub

When you're outside working you're going to get hot and sticky. Cool off some before you go inside to keep from feeling a shock at the cold air. Turning the air up a few degrees before you go outside will help you to get past that shock feeling. Taking a shower that's not too hot and not too cold will help to keep you cool without overwhelming you. Soaking in a tub will help you to relax and prevent muscle strain as well as avoid the effects of getting too hot.
