Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 5 Episode 1: Kourtney Vs Khloe, Kim's New House

Keeping up with the Kardashians season 5 episode 1 aired last night, and it was the perfect example of why the Kardashian sisters remain so interesting to us. We had a couple issues going on in the season premiere. First, Kourtney is living with Khloe and Lamar after returning from Miami and selling the condo she shared with Scott.

Kourtney and Scott are still having issues. If you watched Kourtney and Khloe take Miami, you remember that Scott got drunk one night and punched a mirror and had to have surgery on his hand. After that, Kourtney left him to keep Mason from all the drama.

Khloe won't allow Scott to even drive up her driveway or come to her house. This causes tension between her and Kourtney, who wants to make sure that Scott maintains a relationship with Mason, their infant son. The couple is attending counseling, although at this time it's uncertain what the future holds for them.

In the meantime, we get to see Kim's new house. Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush are now over, and it's the first season of Keeping up with the Kardashians that Kim is the only single sister...and the first season where she's been single. On an appearance on Chelsea Lately this week, Kim promises that we will see lots of dating this season...how exciting.

Kris's focus this week was on Kim's new house and hosting a housewarming party. Kim doesn't want to, because she doesn't want her house messed up. She has Bruce over to "party proof" the house, but that's not enough to keep one of her white pillows from getting ruined. A tearful Kim is trying to salvage her precious pillow, when fatherly Bruce notices that the hostess is gone.

He heads upstairs and gives her a fatherly speech about entertaining in her new home. Kim smiles, wipes her nose and heads down to the party where she throws a cupcake in her mom's face. She then tells everyone she's off to shower.

Kourtney decides that Khloe's disdain for Scott "isn't good for Mason" so she once again moves...this time to Kim's. It will be interesting to see how the neat freak Kim will handle the baby...her home didn't appear to be a "baby friendly" one. I can't help but wonder when Kim's house will no longer "be good for Mason" and Kourtney will either move in with Mom and Bruce or back in with Khloe.

This season is bound to have some good twists and turns. Will the sisters be divided over Kourtney's relationship with Scott? We saw some previews of what's to come, and we see an angry Bruce who's "sick" of Kris, and Kris rubbing the arm of a much younger man. Kendall and Kylie are getting older, and Kourtney might move to New York with Scott. What will season 5 of Keeping up with the Kardashians bring? I bet a lot!
