What is the main thing? For Christians, the answer, obviously, is God. God must come first, must be the main priority. In our daily activities, many of us forget to put God first. This is very easy to do. There are too many distractions in our lives. In my case, the distractions consist of working a full-time job, attending to the needs of my daughters and husband, and handling the finances.
The finances is one main external pressure that draws me away from God. There are too many worries that we will not have enough money to pay the bills. With the stress about pending payments, I find myself not being able to find the joy I desire with my relationship with God.
I want to build and maintain an intimate relationship. Therefore, I must influence the issues and situations in my life, not let them influence me.
I must realize and understand that God will provide for us. Even when things appeared to be dismal in the past, God always came through for us.
God I pass my financial situation to you. You are the manager of my finances. You know my future, not me. Provide for our needs. While, I am making a little money, so far, with Associated Content, I believe that God helped me to discover this website. For a majority of my life, I desired to be a writer. Now I am getting that chance. I believe if I did not have money worries, I may have missed discovering my opportunity to get published.
I recommend this video for anybody, even non-Christians, who is facing a situation in life and does not know how he is going to handle it. This video related directly to my life; it is as if Bishop Jakes had written it directly for me. It was as if he knew about all my problems and was not condemning me for my faults.
The way he carries himself in the video, he treats each individual in the audience as a human being. You will get the impression that he is talking directly to you. I came across another video that I had to stop watching because the speaker was reading directly from notes. He did not make eye contact once in the couple minutes that I watched.
Bishop T. D. Jakes shows great enthusiasm throughout the video. He is able to use Bible verses and tie them in with modern situations. He holds the attention of the audience and builds their desire and hunger for more Bible study. You watch this video, you will not be bored. You will have an eye-opening experience.
Note: You can watch Bishop T. D. Jakes on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Go to http://www.tbn.org for station listings and times.
