Apparently, the established media, including MSNBC and Tom Brokaw, feel that you're going too far if you question the unwavering quest to use a site of mass murder to inspire exponential murder in its name. This is especially disturbing considering that it was military action in the middle east in the 90's, and yes, murder, which inspired the events of 911 in the first place - assuming that the "official" story of Al Qaeda striking the World Trade Center was true in the first place.
Cherishing their new Pearl Harbor, the neoconservatives at the "Republican" National Convention salivated like dogs over a porterhouse at the propaganda laden images. Yes, we remembered the Maine, and killed people that had nothing to do with it. Yes, we remembered Pearl Harbor, and dropped an atomic bomb on people who had nothing to do with it. Now we have 911, and it looks like an even more powerful corporate media that will use this as their death beacon to ensure an endless fattening of the war machine. Yes, more dead is the best way to honor tragic death. Nothing like a license to kill, kill, kill. A lot easier than actually having to work to get along.
Not only were we reminded of Al Qaeda, who stands stronger and more capable of attacking us as a result of the neocon "War on Terror" according to the Pentagon, but videos of the Iranian invasion of the U.S. embassy in 1979 were being used to implant in the minds of the neocon's non-thinking base the image of the evil Iranian. The video invoked an image of the Khomeini revolution, and used a classic propaganda trick of combining images and messages that seemingly link unrelated entities, such as Al Qaeda and Iran.
Of course, they would never mention that the Ayatollah Khomeini revolution was planned by the Carnegie Institute, Rockefeller and Ford foundation, according to Kurt Ninmo in his article Olbermann's Disgust with The Neocon Tribute to 911 on infowars.com. In addition, the esteemed Khomeini's advisers hailed from institutions such as Berkley and Harvard, according to Robert Dreyfus who wrote the book Hostage to Khomeini.
On top of all this, the neoconservative monolithic masterpiece of Middle Eastern demonization tacked on images of Al Qaeda's attack on the U.S.S. Cole and the embassy in East Africa. Of course, there was no mention of the failure to prevent the attacks on the embassy after warnings from the FBI, CIA and intelligence reports in Kenya. Also, no mention of any failure on the U.S. government's part to do anything, even issue a mere "watch out!" memo after CIA informants mentioned specifically that a U.S. Warship in the middle east would be targeted by Al Qaeda, or that Al Qaeda worked as an asset to the CIA at the time, according to Ninmo.
No one in the corporate media will have the courage to look at the root of the problem, that all of our enemies were manufactured and never should have been a threat in the first place. From Hitler, to Saddam Hussein to Osama Bin Laden, none of them could have hurt a fly if so many didn't support them in the first place. That would be too uncomfortable for the mainstream media and politicians to admit. Yes, it will be much more comforting to kill millions more in Iran, Pakistan, and hey maybe even spark World War III. Apparently, learning from history is no longer en vogue in a post 911 world.
