I bit into this cereal bar and was pleasantly surprised to find it has a wonderful texture due to its primary ingredient, rice and whole grain wheat cereal. I really enjoyed the crunchiness of the bar, and it has just the right balance of sweet and salty chocolate and pretzel flavors.

On the down side, this product does contain artificial flavors and ingredients as well as natural ones. I notice the serving size of packaged snack bars seems to be slightly smaller lately, probably due to inflation. Even so, I find that coffee, a healthy sandwich and Kellogg's Special K Bar Chocolatey Pretzel keeps me full and satisfied at lunch time and I'm less likely to make bad choices (like cookies or vending machine candy and crackers).

In upstate New York, I buy these cereal bars at local stores like Price Chopper supermarket, but I get the best deal by purchasing boxes of these treats at Wal-Mart.

These cereal bars can also be used along with other Special K products to create your own weight loss plan. I have tried some of the other flavors of Special K bars such as strawberry, blueberry and honey nut and I liked them, but I'm partial to Kellogg's Special K Bar Chocolatey Pretzel. Though not as chocolatey as a real candy bar, this cereal bar is more reminiscent of a sinful vending machine snack, minus the guilt. I'm glad I found this delicious low calorie treat and I recommend it to anyone who wants to curb calories without sacrificing great taste.
