Kelsey Grammer Expecting a Child with Girlfriend Kayte Walsh in 2011

Kelsey Grammer, 55, has moved on from his pending divorce from estranged wife Camille Donatacci and announced Wednesday he is expecting a child with his new girlfriend.

According to Britain's Daily Mail the former Cheers and Frasier star is "ecstatic and happy" about having his fifth child and plans to marry Walsh when his divorce is finalized and the baby is born. Grammer and his girlfriend Kayte Walsh, 29, are expecting their first child in early 2011.

According to Kayte's father Alan Walsh Grammer and Walsh met each other in New York City after Walsh, a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic Airways, stopped over in the U.S. after a flight.

Alan Walsh was quoted in the Daily Mail as saying, "We just found out about her pregnancy a couple of days ago. The main thing is for them both to be happy and they are. They have just hit it off together."

The announcement of Kelsey Grammer's new girlfriend and the pregnancy comes less than six weeks after Camille Donatacci filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage to the actor citing "irreconcilable differences" as her reason for the divorce in papers filed in California.

Kelsey Grammer and Camille Donatacci have two children together, daughter Mason, 8, and son Jude, 5. Despite nasty rumors and accusations popping up on message boards and Twitter Grammer defended his estranged wife and asked the public to leave her alone and go after him if they wanted to say anything. Grammer called Camille an excellent mother and loving wife, but they had both decided to go in separate directions with their lives.

Donatacci's lawyer though has filed papers seeking joint legal and primary physical custody of both children. Her lawyer would not reveal the reason for the request prompting rumors online that Grammer had cheated on his wife with Walsh and Camille was using this as a way to get back at Kelsey.

Grammer also has a 26-year-old daughter, actress Spencer Grammer, with his first wife Doreen Alderman, and an 18-year-old daughter, Greer, from a relationship with Barrie Bucker.

Kelsey Grammer is following in the footsteps of other notable Hollywood actors who recently went through divorces and became involved in a relationship with a younger woman who they had a child with, most notably Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva. Gibson and Grigorieva are currently locked in a vicious custody battle over their daughter Lucia.
