Kelsey Grammer Not Only Joins the Tea Party, He's Funding a New TV Network - Time to Stop Watching Frasier Re-runs

I Always Thought There was Something a Bit Odd About Kelsey Grammer, Now I Know There is - Here's One Fan He's Losing

While I've always thought Kelsey Grammer was a bit of a freak, I loved 'Frasier' and particularly the character of 'Niles', so I put up with him. But, after hearing the latest news Kelsey Grammer is funding a new Tea Party network, it'll be a cold day in hell before I pay for or ever watch again a TV show or a movie Kelsey Grammer is in. After all, how could I, when the man is now financially supporting programming about racist, right-wing hatemongers who seem to be out to destroy America?

Called RightNetwork, Kelsey Grammer's new political network is going to showcase programs about Tea Party candidates, ultra-right wing conservative comedians, right-wing talk shows like Faux News puts on, and re-runs of William F. Buckley's "Firing Line".

Now let's face it, Kelsey Grammer has always been sleazy. In fact, while calling himself a 'conservative', he's hardly your 'family values' type guy. Already married three times, once to a dance instructor, next to a stripper and finally to a Playboy model, he's now engaged to a woman almost 30 years his junior.

He also had an affair and fathered a child while still married to his second wife, got engaged to someone else then broke up between marriages two and three, and while still married to wife number three had another affair and got another woman pregnant. Oh and did I mention he barely ever visits the kids he has with wife number three? (That's why she finally kicked him out and divorced him -well, that and the pregnant mistress).More than just a bit of scumbag really.

Add onto that three arrests and one sentencing for cocaine use, one arrest and 30 days in jail for drunk driving, and a decades-long drinking problem, and Kelsey Grammer is one of the biggest scumbags in Hollywood.

So, to some extent, it's probably not that surprising he's a Tea Bagger supporter and is now funding a TV network for other right-wing scumbags.

But out of this ultra right-wing attempt to persuade conservative Americans that the Tea Bagger way is the 'right' way, there have been some comedy moments.

One of the best is Kelsey Grammer saying, "We're not out to vilify or accuse or identify anybody as an enemy. We're out there to encourage people to open their minds and take a look at some things that we as a group of people believe is the right direction for the country, "

Now, if the way Kelsey Grammer lives his life is his idea of the 'right direction for the country' then there's something even more severely wrong with him then I thought before. Amazing what decades of a brain on cocaine will do for you, isn't it?

There is some good news about the RightNetwork's launch though. While it searches for an audience (that hopefully will give it a very wide-berth), RightNetwork won't have a TV channel but will instead be sold through video-on-demand as well as on mobile phones and on the Internet.

Kelsey Grammer meanwhile has been recording all kinds of promotional videos for the new network, in an effort to drum up conservative support. According to Elizabeth Snead of the Dish Rag blog though, Tea Party supporters might not be as 'supportive' of Kelsey Grammer and his 'RightNetwork' as he might think.

"We have to wonder if Grammer is the right choice for a Tea Party network that is ... clearly meant to appeal to audiences in - how shall we put this - middle America," said Snead.

No sh*t Sherlock. Kelsey Grammer and his cocaine, drinking, whoring lifestyle is just about as far away from 'middle America' as you can get. Which means, sadly, as much as Kelsey Grammer wants to be a Tea Bagger, the Tea Baggers may not want him.

While I agree with your basic thesis about Grammer I do not agree with the personal insults over and over again. Just give the facts and background info that destroys his character and use it once in a semi polite matter a fact way. It is relevant but damn...you took it a bit overboard.

I'm still in utter shock. I LOVE Frasier and I know his character is a conservative, but how can the same man who produced 'The Game' by a Repug? Ohhh... I'm so disillusioned now!

    Another troubled celebrity!

Yep, David Hyde Pierce was the real talent of 'Frasier'. The show should have been called 'Niles'.

At the risk of sounding judgmental, he is a mildly talented schmuck.
