Kendra Wilkinson, Fashion Designer

Kendra Wilkinson is one of Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends, along with Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt. This show is addictive because you get to live vicariously through them. Who wouldn't want to live in a mansion, sleep in, go shopping, eat great food, and throw parties for their dog? Yes, there's the girlfriend aspect of it. But the show kind of glosses over their romantic relationship with Hef, and focuses on their day to day activities, which seem to involve little responsibility.

On May 11 she debuted her new clothing line at PURE nightclub in Las Vegas complete with music by DJ AM.

Kendra is the prettiest, and looks nice with or without makeup. Of late she has toned down the super-light bleached hair with some flattering lowlights. Naturally, she's in really good shape.

Despite seeming a bit thick, she seems to have a good heart. At one photo shoot when Bridget was upset, she went to cheer her up. In the episode where they were interviewing girls to work at the PlayBoy Club in Las Vegas, she doesn't have a negative word to say about anyone. At the end she says she wished she could give everyone a hug because she didn't want anyone to feel left out. Since these shows are no doubt edited to the gills, you can't really make a character assessment based on the show alone. But I get the impression she is sincere.

Her laugh can grate on the nerves; there's no getting past that. I have noticed in recent episodes, however, that Holly has taken on the same laugh. Since Kendra is the funnier of the two, she gets a pass for the braying laugh.

Though she is sometimes stereotyped as the dumb one, Kendra has the most realistic outlook on the Girls Next Door lifestyle. She seems to take advantage of the lifestyle without expecting that it will last forever. Her purchase of a condo shows that she plans for the future. Who knows if it will be a rental property or her next home; either way she made an investment in the future.

She doesn't take life too seriously- it's like Barbie crossed with Beavis and Butthead.

The show would be much less interesting without her. The PlayBoy mansion is full of pretty faces, but Kendra is the official court jester and makes the show entertaining. Someday Holly will no doubt have Hef all to herself, though, and Kendra's laugh will echo through the halls somewhere else. She's probably won't replace Donald Trump as the next big real estate developer or, well, anyone, as the hottest new clothing designer. Regardless, I applaud her light-hearted approach to life and wish her well.
