Kennedy Assassination and Astrological Predictions

Was John F Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1963 seen by astrologers and psychics?

In the aftermath of the universal horror following the assassination of President John F Kennedy in Dallas, on November 22, 1963, masses of articles appeared in the press looking for answers, explanations and "what if's."

Kennedy Assassination Seen in Premonitions

People who were interviewed in public places for the radio and TV admitted to vague feelings about something dreadful going to happen on that fateful day in American History. Articles in newspapers and magazines spoke of premonitions, extra-sensory experiences, feelings and forebodings which people had found difficult to explain.

These articles appeared not just in astrology magazines but alongside the "specials" and "exclusives" written by politicians, Senators, tycoons and leading public figures. There was a frantic search of press archives during which, some astounding predictions came to light.

Prophecies of the Death of JFK

Prophetic announcements that had appeared in astrology and similarly-related periodicals, which had gained little interest at the time of publication, were suddenly looked at in a different vein.

In November 1963, for instance, an article by Leslie McIntyre in American Astrology described a Mars/Uranus transit:

"In the past such configuration has coincided with personal danger to the head of state. All the more so in this case in view of the attack by Saturn on the President's natal trio of Mars, Mercury and Jupiter ... November is obviously fraught with perils of several varieties."

An interview with astrologer Mrs Jeane Dixon of Washington was published in an issue of the American Parade dated May 1956, in which was stated "As for the 1960 election, Mrs Dixon thinks it will be won by a Democrat. But he will be assassinated in office."

On another occasion Mrs Dixon said that she had seen a "dark cloud" hanging over the White House and added "The veil is drawing nearer."

Jeane Dixon was asked if Robert Kennedy would ever become president. She responded "No, he will never become President of the United States because of a tragedy right here in this hotel." Twelve years later, her prophecy was fulfilled when in 1968 Robert Kennedy was assassinated at the Ambassador Hotel.

John F Kennedy and Prophecies of his Assassination

The British Astrologer John Pendragin wrote a letter to President Kennedy, published in Fate magazine in October 1963 warning him of "impending doom." The letter stated "I would not rule out the possibility of an attempted assassination or worse if he is caught off guard. ... I would respectfully urge you to strengthen your bodyguard, especially when you are in the streets and other public places."

Astrologer Dia Lee, in Astrological Guide on sale at news-stands during October 1963 and up to the moment of John F Kennedy's death wrote "At this time we prefer to confine ourselves to a word of caution to the President. He should guard his health and safety ... We wish we could tell the President that November will be an easy month for him but the aspects forbid it."

JFK Assassination and his Horoscope

There were disturbing long-term forecasts from European sources too. Huter's Astrological Calendar published in Germany eighteen months before Kennedy's tragic end stated:

"The horoscope of US President Kennedy shows health defects and at one time the danger that a fanatic is preparing his assassination."

Could J F Kennedy's assassination have been predicted, even, four hundred years in advance? The astrologer Nostradamus' prediction "The great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt," has been attributed by some, to the Kennedy assassination.

At the time of his death, transiting Neptune was in Scorpio in Kennedy's chart, opposite his natal Mars signifying the conspiracy theories surrounding his tragic end.
